Shravasti is a popular tourism place, because Shravasti is an historical place for Lord Gautam Budha, The Lord Gautam Budha performed the great miracle and stayed here 25 rainy seasons.

Today Shrawasti is a district and located in the State of Uttar Pradesh of India, near about 16 K.M. far from the Balrampur District, Also it is 25 Km far from Bharaich city and 50 Km far from Gonda district.

Today here many peoples, tourists, monks, and pilgrims have comes from many cities of India and also from many countries like Japan, China, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Nepal and Thailand to visit this holy place, at the whole year.

Here also a lot of peoples and tourists have also comes at the moment of Lord Gautam Buddha birthday's, that celebrates on the Buddha Porrima.

Shravasti is the head Quarter of the Vishwa Budha Parishad and also it is the venue of Anand Bodhi Inter National Budhist University.This place is improving day by day today.

Shravasti in the past:

The ancient city of Shrawasti, is at present a scattering of ruins is known by the twin names of Sahet Mahet. It today consist mainly of plinths and foundations of monasteries and stupas.

Shravasti was a prosperous city in the kingdom of Kosala, Prasenajita was the king of Sravasti at the time of Lord Gautam Buddha.

Shravasti is the place where the Lord Gautam Buddha used to stay the Jetavana Maha Vihara, today this place is also known as Jetvana Garden, and Jetvana Vihar, it was constructed by a rich business man of Shravasti, Sudatta.He invited Lord Gautam Buddha to his city and he was very much affected by Lord Gautam Buddha and their preaches.

So in this way today Shravasti is the famous tourism place to visit, because

Shravasti is one of the most important holy place of Buddhist pilgrimage, where the other seven places are Lumbini, Buddha-Gaya, Sarnath, Rajagriha, Vaisali, Sankasya, Kushinagar.

The most famous follower of Lord Budha was VISAKHA, ANANTHPINDIKA ( SUDATA) and ANGULIMALA, who lived here in the famous site of Sharavasti.
